Is there a way to put a pword on my external hard drive?

because i have two kids 12 and 15 and there both inquisitive,ive got some adult stuff on there i dont want them to see,not ,just films like clockwork orange,scarface and reservoir dogs,i dont think there ready for that yet,i also have alot of atomic bomb footage,i dont want them to see that,no way
