Do You Think Barack Obama Will Actually Do Anything For America?

Besides just agitate the powers that be? I mean when Lincoln symbolically ended slavery (he never freed the slaves in his own control). After-wards racist dixie-crats (which I presume are the descendants of the now neo-cons) created all sorts of racist jim-crowe laws, which held blacks and poor minorities back much harder. So what of Obama? If he attempts to change something, they will react in turn by probable inating him and clamping down harder to destroy this new found "hope" and optimism. Are there other end game possibilities?
