What should i do if this is happening?

i am 13 and a school dance is coming up. there are alot more girls than boys in my cl, and even the prettiest girls dont get asked to dance sometimes. the dj we always get plays snowball which we dance with someone and switch partners when the dj says snowball (every 30 sec) i am fairly in the popular group, and i get left out of 30 seconds sometimes. What should i do to not make it awkward when i dont get asked to dance?
