Are `First Ladies` Obsolete?

She's a married woman, so she will support her husband and share the responsibility of raising her children and running a household just as she did before he became president, among other responsibilities. She is a representative of her country. I don't see how she will ever be "obsolete". I think Laura Bush is pretty 'low key' compared to some others. Michelle Obama seems similar in that way. I don't think there's any sort of "trend". It's just the personality/style of the particular presidents wife. They will all be scrutinized just because of who they're married to.
